He was enticed by the stories of ancient Egypt since childhood. The idea of giving his soul and body to a god-like creature with absolute powers excited him tremendously. He wanted to be a slave, he wanted someone who would decide whether he was to live or die, who would rule wisely over his miserable being and punish him with brutal force for any disobedience.
